There’s been many a time when I’ve said “this is probably to simplest piece of advice I could give you.” There seems to be a few of them in my vocabulary so here’s another to add to the list. You have to learn to walk before you can run. Or these days in my world it seems to be you have to learn to roll, them crawl, then walk and ten finally run. But no matter what level you start at the message is the same. You need to become efficient at a retain level before moving onto the next one.
I see so many people make life hard for them selves on a daily basis in the gym by trying to work at a level that is above their movement potential. For what ever the reason may be (usually ego based) all it really serves to do is set you these people up for failure. And I’m sure this is not the intended outcome. A more mindful approach is needed (mindfulness is another topic altogether).
